1. What is a cantilever shelf?
Cantilever shelf is an important kind of shelf. Cantilever shelves are suitable for storing long materials, ring materials, sheets, pipes and irregular goods. 2. Use of cantilever shelves

The shelf height is usually less than 2.5 meters (up to 6 meters for forklift truck access), the cantilever length is less than 1.5 meters, and the load per arm is usually less than 1000 KG. Such shelves are mostly used in machinery manufacturing industry and building materials supermarkets. After adding shelf, it is especially suitable for small space, low height warehouse, convenient management, wide field of vision, and higher utilization ratio compared with ordinary shelf shelf. According to carrying capacity, it can be divided into three types: light, medium and heavy.
Cantilever shelves are ideal solutions for storing bulky, scattered or other special products. Cantilever shelves can be divided into single-arm and double-arm shelves. 3. Production Technology of Cantilever Shelf
The base of cantilever shelf can be made of H-section steel or special profile. H-section steel is selected according to the requirement of bearing capacity, and the national standard steel is selected accordingly. The upper edge of the H-section steel is provided with bolt connecting eye for the column, which is convenient for connecting with the column. The bottom is welded to connect the bottom plate, and the top of the bottom plate is opened with expansion bolts, so that the shelf can be easily connected to the ground with expansion bolts. The cantilever shelf uses special profiles as its base and welds two pieces of C-section steel back-to-back with connecting steel plates. The width of connecting steel plates is the width of the column. After the welding of two pieces of C-section steel is completed, bolt holes are opened at the connecting posts to facilitate the connection with the posts. Edge welding is used to connect the bottom plate to facilitate the connection between expansion bolts and the ground.
The cantilever shelf column is butt welded with two pieces of C-section steel. C-section steel takes Q235 high-quality strip as raw material. After rolling into C-section steel by rolling mill line, the cantilever connection control is punched out on the automatic punch, and the hole spacing is 140 mm. A connecting steel plate will be welded under the column by connecting with H-section steel. If the connection with special profiles is adopted, bolt connection holes will be opened at the connecting part below the column.
4. Manufacturing materials of cantilever shelves
Cantilever shelves are usually made of two kinds of materials.
1. Adopt square control: According to the corresponding cantilever layer load requirements, the cantilever shelf first chooses the square tube that meets the layer load requirements and cuts it into the required size. It is made by welding anti-skid guard plate at one end and U-type column connector at the other end.
2. Making use of C-section steel: According to the corresponding cantilever overlay requirements, the cantilever shelf first selects the specifications of C-section steel, and then welds two pieces of C-section steel. After welding, the anti-skid shield plate is welded at one end and the U-shaped column connector is welded at the other end.
The connecting rod is used to connect the cantilever shelf column and the connecting rod is usually made of rectangular tube. In order to increase safety and stability, a special puller is needed to tightly fix the column sheet by adding a flat iron back pull to the connecting rod.
All cantilever shelf components are semi-finished products after production, and will be sprayed through the last process. Before spraying, oil and rust are removed by shot blasting machine before spraying. Packing and delivery after completion.
5. Characteristic of Cantilever Shelf
1. It is only suitable for storage of long strip or long roll goods.
2. It is necessary to cooperate with handling equipment with wide fork spacing, such as side forklift with large fork spacing.
3. Shelf height is limited, generally less than 6m.
4. The utilization rate of space is low, about 35%-50%.
